The Chairman of Ughelli Traditional Council of Chiefs, Chief Miller Uloho, has emphasized the power of prayers and thanksgivings to God in the existence of humans.

Chief Uloho stated this when members of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of Ughelli Prayer Day visited him at his country home in Ughelli.

He said “nobody knows, nor can talk about tomorrow, except by the grace of God, which comes upon mankind through prayers and the mercy of God.”

Chief Uloho, while stressing the need for everyone to support the vision of Ughelli monarch, said, “We slept and woke up the next day, not because of our power, but by the grace of God.”

He emphasised that it was good for humans to show gratitude to God by thanking him always for His kindness and mercy towards humanity.

“I always tell people that when you sleep, you can not tell what happened thereafter, and when you wake up the morning, there is every need to thank God.

“Anyone who failed to acknowledge this is not wise because no one knows tomorrow. We can only talk of yesterday. So, we should always thank God,” he stressed.

Chief Uloho advised members of the CWC to be upright and live up to expectations, just as he promised to support them when there was need to do so.

Earlier, the Chairman of the CWC, Apostle David Richard, said the visit was to introduce the new member of the CWC to Chief Uloho and solicit his support and fatherly advice.

Also speaking, Chief Ochuko Edevwie, Personal Secretary to the Ughelli monarch, commended Chief Uloho for accepting to support the new membership of the CWC and the prayer programme of Ughelli Kingdom.
