A United States based Nigerian, Amb. Princess Asha Okojie has apologised to elders of Udumu/Okojie in Uromi, Esan North East local government area of Edo State for going against the culture and traditions of the people.

She gave the apology during a reconciliation meeting held with the elders when she recently visited her father’s ancestral home at Udumu/Okojie in Uromi to meet with the elders with one goal in mind, “reconciliation”.

It would be recalled that the problem started when she spoke out against her father, Prince Albert Okojie during a misunderstanding between her mother and father. The fight between her parents became the subject of public discussion when she finally spoke out about the issue.

Following her reconciliation with her father, she also asked the elders of Udumu/Okojie for forgiveness.

“I was wrong and I am very sorry for going against our culture and traditions. We all make mistakes and I sincerely apologise for what I said concerning my father. We have resolved our differences and put the past behind us. Glory be to Almighty God,” she said
