Surveyors in Delta State have been charged to uphold the ethics of their profession so they can be taken seriously in society.

The Secretary to State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu, gave the charge yesterday when members of the Nigerian Institute of Surveyors, Delta State Chapter, paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

The SSG stated that the role surveyors play in society could not be overemphasized, saying that they provide professional advice on a range of construction-related matters and if not adhered to, could lead to serious damage to lives and property.
