The Commissioner for Local Government, Community and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Monday Osaigbovo has reiterated government’s commitment to continue to create a conducive and enabling environment for youths in Edo State to thrive, upskill and realise their potential and contribute to the state’s development.

Hon. Osaigbovo disclosed this while meeting with members of the Edo State Social Media Force who paid a courtesy call on him in Benin City. The commissioner noted that the Edo State Governor is particular about youth development as not everyone can work in government.

“Like you said, you have to grow. This is the type of growth the governor also wants. Everybody cannot work in government. The time is coming where a job of ten persons would be done by one person. The world is evolving with technology and the Edo State Government is running with it,” he said.

Hon. Osaigbovo said the team had carved a niche for itself as this would also generate employment for other youths. He pointed that the Edo State Government would remain steadfast in its skills development for youths and continue to support and empower the youths to be entrepreneurs and employers of labour.

He applauded the efforts of the team and assured them of his support to the growth and advancement of the media organisation in his capacity.
