Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Blessing Agbebaku, joined by key personalities from the state House of Assembly arrived Owan West this morning for the LGA’s Ward to Ward Chairmanship rally.
Rt.Hon. Agbebaku addressing large number of PDP faithfuls at his Ward 2 Uhonmora-Ora amid cheers and jubilation by supporters and admirers assured the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Dickson Ahonsi of massive support ahead of the local government election.
He noted that the expression of joy, enthusiasm and the welcome by the people is indicative of the landslide victory that awaits the chairmanship and councillorship flag bearers come September 2.
He said, “My representation and speakership remains a purposeful one, because it has brought smiles to the faces of Owan West and Edo people in general. Let us come out en masse and vote in favour of the only platform we know, PDP.
“Let me express my profound gratitude to my people for trusting and standing by me during my election. Today’s visit is not a ‘thank you visit’, but, I will certainly come back to express my gratitude for the mandate given.”
The chairman of the party in the LGA, Engr. David Okoh-Aigbodion formally received some decampees from the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the party, on behalf of the State Party Leader, Governor Godwin Obaseki and the Chairman of the Party in the State, Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi, saying, “we are very confident that, PDP will carry the day.”
