Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs) has set plans in motion to engage teenagers during the holiday season with valuable technology skills, organizing a graphic design skills training for Children between the ages of 13 – 17.

The Managing Director EdoJobs, Mrs. Violet Obiokoro, noted that though the Graphic Design training is organised by the technology department of the agency – EdoInnovates to engage teenagers during the holiday period. It is also a good opportunity to expose the children early to the fast growing world of technology using their mobile phones.

Mrs. Obiokor added that the training would expose the children to productive ways they can utilize their phones beyond watching movies and playing mobile games, and encouraged parents and guardians to take advantage of this opportunity for their kids and wards while highlighting that the only requirement for children to participate in this training is to have a smartphone as the training would be conducted using a smartphone.

On that note, Mrs. Obiokor further stated that the Graphic Design training which will offer intensive coaching in a safe and engaging environment for these teenagers to explore, learn and practice Graphic Design Principles, Branding & Visual Identity and Typography from industry professionals.

Mrs. Obiokoro also highlighted that Edo Innovates conducts trainings annually for teenagers to productively engage them during the long holiday. She stressed that various high demand technology trainings have been conducted for youths in the state since its inception in alignment with the vision of Edo Innovates, an initiative of the Edo State Government to provide the supply of highly skilled tech talents in the state, and that more of these trainings have been mapped out for the remaining months of the year.
