Ahmed Habib, director-general of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), met with some state governors at the Nigeria Governors’ Forum Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, to find solutions to the seasonal flooding of homes and farmlands in Nigeria.

The meeting is coming in the wake of the 2023 flood alert predicted by NEMA.

Last week, the Federal Government issued a flood alert, saying 14 states and 31 communities may witness heavy rainfall that could lead to flooding.
