The deputy governor gave the assurance in a meeting with leaders of Ossissa Community who paid him a congratulatory visit in his office at the Government House in Asaba.

According to him, the Governor Oborevwori administration was prepared to work for the good of the people who elected him, adding that one of the areas the administration would pay attention to was the provision of electricity.

Onyeme decried the lack of teaching staff in the education sector, especially in the rural areas of the state, just as he suggested that community-based teachers be trained to solve the problem of rejection by teachers posted to the rural areas.

The deputy governor also assured leaders of Ossissa Community that the state government was going to look into the problem of flooding and lack of community-based health workers in the rural communities.

Leaders of Ossissa Community, earlier in an address presented by the former Commissioner for Higher Education, Hon. (Chief) Dr Kingsley Ashibogu, said the visit was to congratulate the deputy governor and the Delta State governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on their victory at the election and successful inauguration.

Chief Ashibogu also pledged continued support and loyalty of the Ossissa people for the state governor towards the realisation of the MORE agenda of the Oborevwori administration.
