World No. 2 and defending champion Novak Djokovic beats Andrey Rublev, overturning a set-down deficit to win the game 4-6 6-1 6-4 6-3 to reach his 12th Wimbledon semi-final and his 46th Grand Slam semi-final.

He has now equaled Roger Federer for the number of Grand Slam semi-finals and also became just the 3rd man to play the 400th Grand Slam matches.

Djokovic proved too good for Rublev on Tuesday night as he continues his quest for a record-tying 8th Wimbledon title.

Rublev started the game in fine fashion, playing some breath-taking tennis early on to break Djokovic’s serve in the first set and eventually claiming the opening set 6_4.

The defending champion responded emphatically to losing the opening set by claiming subsequent sets 6-1 6-4 6-4 in a highly entertaining encounter.

The world No.2 remains on course for a record-tying 8th Wimbledon title and a record-extending 24th Grand Slam title.

Djokovic will face Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals on Friday in what promises to be a blockbuster affair as both players look to book a place in the finals on Sunday.
