Rotarian Ikechukwu Onyinye has emerged the 39th President of the Rotary Club of Agbor, District 9141.

The in-house handover fellowship where Rtn. Onyinye was confirmed as the 39th President of the Rotary Club of Agbor took place in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Immediate Past President, Rtn. Patrick Osemiha, a professional accountant with specialty in forensic accounting, thanked God and the entire members of the club for their support.

“I want to appeal to you to also extend the same love and selfless services to the new President, Rtn Ikechukwu Onyinye, and his cabinet to enable them succeed,” he stated.

Rtn. Osemiha joined the Rotary Club of Agbor in August 2019 and served as Secretary to the club between 2020 and 2021.

He became the 38th President of the Rotary Club of Agbor in 2022/2023 Rotary Year.

He is a member of the District Resource Network with expert knowledge in project procurement planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, as well as industrial knowledge in data analytics.

Handing over to the new president, Rtn. Osemiha congratulated him on his new position and wished him God’s grace and wisdom to move the club to greater heights.

In his remarks, Rtn. Onyinye, a degree holder in Physics and a businessman, expressed delight, saying that it was a a privilege for him to serve humanity.

While applauding all the past presidents and district governors, he noted that their contributions were the reason the club was still thriving.

“As the 39th President of Rotary Club of Agbor, I will work tirelessly in collaboration with my fellow Rotarians so that our aims and objectives are realized,” he said.

On his part, the District Governor, Rtn Emeke Utebor, charged Rtn Onyinye to be diligent and committed in all he did concerning the affairs of the Rotary Club of Agbor.

He urged the president to always work in synergy with other members of the club, particularly the past leaders of the Rotary Club, as that would help him to achieve more success.

“Do not allow the challenges you will experience while dealing with certain people or communities to discourage you, but consider the beneficiaries of the service,” he stated.

Also speaking, Mrs. Hatty Ajuebon-Egbarin wished the new president well and advised him to be a good ambassador of the Rotary Club of Agbor by laying good foundations for those under him to build on.
