Residents of Ogbekenu, Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State have again renewed their appeals to the state government to listen to their cry as flood has continued to ravage their locality unabated.

Gabriel Osakwe, one of the residents who spoke to newsmen on Friday, lamented they have been contending with the pitiable condition of incessant flooding every year for the past four years , saying that they have lost their properties to the ravaging flood.

Continuing, he reaffirmed that government officials from SEMA had visited the locality for inspection severally but no proactive actions taken to address the lingering devastation and trauma faced by the resident each time there was heavy downpour.

Anthony Odeigah similarly appealed to the state government to urgently come to the aid of the people because the perennial flooding has made life miserable to residents.
