The people of Ndokwa in Delta State have been called upon to live in peace and unity and be their brother’s keeper for the purpose of development.
Chief Perkins Ocheli, who holds the chieftaincy title of Agha Achu-Eze 1 of Abavo Kingdom, made the call on Wednesday during the birthday celebration of Ambassador Dele Omenogor at Amai, Ukwuani Local Government Area of the state.
Chief Ocheli said there was no gain or joy in fighting or killing one’s brother, adding that any man that kills his brother is not strong but weak.
He appealed to Ndokwa sons and daughters home and abroad to always think of peace and unity of Ndokwa nation as the entire people are one from creation.
Chief Ocheli described Ambassador Dele Omenogor as a great light that has lighted so many lights.
He said Dr Omenogor, the Odogwu Adi-Ebuo of Amai Kingdom, has the interest of the entire Ndokwa people at heart and that he is a pride of Ndokwa land.
Chief Ocheli said Omenogor’s kind gestures as an uncommon philanthropist earned him the chieftaincy title of Ojineme 1 of Ndokwa, noting that he brought succour to many and equally contributed immensely to national development.
While praying God to continue to bless and protect Dr Omenogor and his family, Chief Ocheli said that any community that has three of Omenogor’s kind would be blessed.
