Edo State Government has commenced the screening of interested and eligible youths in the state to reconstitute the second session of the Edo State Youth Parliament.

Over one hundred youths who submitted applications are being screened by a committee made up of directors from the Ministry of Youth and Humanitarian Affairs led by the Permanent Secretary, Eire Ifueko Alufohai, Esq.; the chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State chapter, Moses Agwinede and representative of the Nigeria Youth Parliament.

The three-day screening exercise which commenced on Monday August 21, 2023 was attended by youths from across the eighteen local government areas of the state.

The youths who are between the ages of 18 and 29 years old were interviewed and given written tests by the committee.

During the screening, the youths were told to be prepared to make positive impact in the society wherever they find themselves and not to see the Youth Parliament as a job but rather as an opportunity to serve.
