Electricity generation in Nigeria plummeted from 3,594.60 megawatts to a paltry 42.7megawatts, Tuesday night, following a systems failure.

This occurrence makes the third time in five days.

Informed sources disclosed that all of the country’s power plants, except for that of Delta, were not generating electricity. The Delta plant was said to be generating 41mw, with the Afam plant generating 1.7mw.

The larger part of the country has been thrown into blackout as a result of this systems failure.

Supply from the national grid was reported to have started sliding from over 3,500 megawatts Tuesday and eventually slumped to a paltry 42.7MW.
