The Chairman, Sapele Local Government Area, Hon Eugene Inoaghan has advised students in the local government to shun all forms of social vices capable of ruining their future as prospective leaders of tomorrow.

Inoaghan gave this advice at Okotie-Eboh Grammar School, Sapele during the 2023 Physicians’ Week celebration organized by the Sapele Zone of the Nigerian Medical Association, Delta State Branch.

Inoaghan while decrying the rate of students, and youths, who have been involved in illicit activities such as cultism, examination misconduct, drug abuse, and indecent dressing amongst others, advised the students to be good ambassadors of themselves, their immediate families, the society at large and shun all forms of social vices and contribute their quotas to societal growth and development.

Inoaghan, while lauding the efforts of the DTNMA, Sapele zone particularly expressed deep satisfaction at how the ceremony was conducted, maintaining that, it will avail the students the opportunity to right the wrongs in this regard.

He added that the government on its part is not left out in this task of redefining, remodeling, and giving our school children a better life.

He however noted that Sapele Local Government has recorded huge successes in the fight against cultism, and drug abuse, and appealed to the good people of the area to continue to compliment the government’s efforts in the crusade for a better tomorrow for our youths.

On her part, Chairman of the Delta State Branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (DTNMA) Sapele Zone, Dr. Enakpodia Anighoro while officially welcoming all participants to the Physicians’ Week 2023 celebration, thanked the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Eugene Inoaghan for finding time to attend the event.

Dr. Anighoro noted that the exercise is designed to create awareness while our school children, the youths, and the generality of the populace should understand why Physician Week is organized every year.

She added that NMA was committed as part of its social responsibility, and would continue to educate our students on why they should not indulge in any activities that are capable of destroying their future.
