In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare services, the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (EDSPHCDA) has embarked on an interview phase for the 1,130 successful candidates vying for various positions in the Agency who excelled in the recently conducted Computer-based Tests (CBT) that held from November 1st to 9th, 2023.

This initiative stems from the Edo State Government’s commitment to strengthening primary healthcare services, by recruiting qualified personnel to provide quality healthcare to Edo people.

The interview session, which commenced on Monday, December 4th, 2023, is slated to continue until Friday, December 8th, 2023, at John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA).

In his address, Dr. Omosigho Izedonmwen, the Executive Secretary, EDSPHCDA, not only praised the candidates for reaching the interview stage but also emphasized the Agency’s commitment to cultivating a culture of excellence in primary healthcare.

Dr. Izedonmwen urged the candidates not to harbor expectations of specific work locations, emphasizing that serving the people of Edo is the primary focus. If their job application seemed location-based, he clarified; it was a strategic move to ensure equal opportunities for Edo people to benefit from their services.

Closing his address, Dr. Izedonmwen encouraged candidates to give their best during the interviews and to approach the interviews with a mindset geared towards contributing their utmost to the betterment of healthcare services in Edo State.

The panelists overseeing the interview comprised experts drawn from the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Office of the Head of Service, Edo State, and the Greenfields Consultancy and Allied Services Ltd.

This diverse and experienced panel is tasked with identifying candidates who embody the values and skills required to contribute meaningfully to the Primary Healthcare landscape of Edo State.
