An ultra-modern multi-million-naira hall and office complex built and equipped by the Victor Ebonka administration in Ika North East Local Government of Delta State is ready for inauguration.
Giving details of the giant project in Owa-Oyibu shortly after inspecting it recently, Ebonka, who is the State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON) and its National Legal Adviser, explained that the project was designed to meet the needs of personnel of the Council for befitting office accommodation and a modern hall for sundry events, including meetings.
Ebonka said the complex houses more than 14 offices for Heads of Department, a registry and a big hall of 1,500 sitting capacity, which would serve as an appropriate meeting venue for Council personnel.
He recalled that he observed, shortly after he came into office, that the Council faced the challenge of decent facilities for meetings and for offices, hence he decided to prioritize the dual purpose project.
The Council Chairman confirmed that construction work on the project had been completed, while equipping was nearing completion and assured that the project would be equipped with all necessary electrical appliances and state-of- the-art furniture to be truly befitting.
The ALGON chairman urged the local government personnel to maintain the project to preserve it and serve the purpose for which it was built.
He expressed the hope that the project would be inaugurated soon, as part of his legacies.
