South Africa booked their place in the last 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations following a battling 0-0 draw against Tunisia, a result that sees the latter crash out of the tournament having finished bottom of Group E.

They needed to beat South Africa to reach the last 16 but were held to a goalless draw in a match of few chances.
