The Faculty of Science at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife is set for its highly anticipated 2024 Annual Lecture, featuring none other than Mallam Mele Kyari, the esteemed Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited.

The lecture scheduled for today, January 17, 2024, at 10 am, this event is geared to delve into the critical theme of ‘Energy Security, Sustainability, and Profitability in Nigeria: Advances, Challenges, and Opportunities.’

Mallam Mele Kyari, the GCEO of NNPC Ltd, has 27 years of rich experience in the oil and gas industry. He graduated in Geology in 1987 and served as a Well Site Geologist before joining NNPC in 1992. Kyari was also a union leader in PENGASSAN from 1997 to 1999. Over the years, he held various roles, including Exploration Geophysicist and Manager of Production Contracts Management. Currently, he serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited.
