The Rivers State House of Assembly led by Mr. Martin Amaehwule has threatened that it would stop receiving correspondence from the Government House, following the attitudes of staff members of Government House.

Amaehwule, who disclosed this during the House sitting on Thursday at its Chambers within the House of Assembly Quarters, regretted that the Clerk of Government House had not been receiving letters and correspondence from the legislative arm of the state.

Amaehwule said the government staff sent in a correspondence on the commissioner-nominees that the Government House has refused to receive any document from the Assembly, warning that the House would stop taking any correspondence from the executive arm.

However, when the House called for the screening of the nine nominees, it only asked them to take a bow and go, having served as commissioners in the state.
