CEO of Ughoron Real Estate Company, Imasuen Izoduwa, met with the Commissioner of Police in Edo State, Funsho Adegboye, on Tuesday, to discuss a proposal to build a new police station for the force in the state. Izoduwa’s motivation for the proposal was to boost security in Uhie Community along Sapele Road area, which has been affected by crime and violence in recent months.

The CEO used the opportunity to congratulate the CP on his new office as the state Commissioner of Police and appreciated his dedication in serving the state. Ughoron Investment Limited is a real estate development company established in 2019 by Imasuen Amowie Izoduwa. In December 2022, Ughoron unveiled its flagship project, Ere Royal Estate in Benin City. According to the CEO, the reason for building a new police station is to provide security to life and property for citizens home and abroad, specifically, those abroad who are scared of coming home due to the fear of insecurity. Also, those investors, who are indecisive on investing in the area can now be rest assured as a new police station is constructed.

The Commissioner of Police appreciated the CEO’s patriotism for his country and stated that a new police station was indeed needed in the community to increase the level of security. The CP further requested the need for a new waiting room, stating that the former was outdated and needed an immediate change.

We could be recalled that the new commissioner of police assumed duties in Edo State late last year. He took over from CP Mohammed Dankwara as the 46th Commissioner of Police in Edo State. The official handover ceremony was held at the state police command headquarters in Benin City on December 29, 2023.
