Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has congratulated Governor Duoye Diri of Bayelsa State on his inauguration for a second term.

Fielding questions shortly after the Diri’s inauguration ceremony held at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenogoa, Bayelsa State, Governor Eno praised Governor Diri’s statesmanship and inclusive demeanor, calling his election and subsequent inauguration a watershed moment.

These, he said, were evident in the cross-party figures that attended the event, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Kwara State Governor, and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

“For Governor Diri, the presence of the calibre of people you saw here today testifies eloquently to the kind of person he is. He is a man of peace. So, we wish him well in his second term,” Governor Eno said.
