The Buckingham palace has issued a statement concerning the health of King Charles III, revealing that the 75 years old King of England was diagnosed with cancer.

Reports from BBC news revealed that he was diagnosed of a form of cancer yet to be named during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate.

The palace statement also revealed that he had a prostate procedure at a private London hospital more than a week ago.

The Palace statement also revealed that His majesty has commenced “regular treatments” on Monday following his return to London from Sandringham in Norfolk on Monday morning.

Additionally, Buckingham palace stated that the King “remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible”.

Due to the King’s health condition, all public engagements will be postponed while senior royals would stand in for him while undergoing treatment.

Although, there’s a pause in his public events engagement, the King will still continue with his constitutional role as Head of the State, and would also engage in private meetings and paperwork.

The King has taken to the public about his prostrate treatment in order to encourage more men to get prostrate checks.

It was also brought to light that for many types of cancer, age appears to be a major factor.

According to UK figures, yearly, more than a third (36%) of new cancer cases were in people aged 75 and over.
