Arsenal’s midfield sensation Declan Rice, has voiced his ambition to assume the captain’s role at the Emirates Stadium, should the opportunity arise following the tenure of current skipper Martin Odegaard.

Since his high-profile £105 million transfer from West Ham last summer, the 25-year-old has emerged as an important figure in Arsenal’s midfield engine.

Rice, who previously captained West Ham, attributes his leadership trait to his formative decade-long stint with the London club. Reflecting on his time at West Ham, he remarked, “My tenure at West Ham, spanning a decade, has played a pivotal role in shaping my character.”
