“Out of 668 scheduled flights, we successfully operated 612, demonstrating our efforts to maintain service continuity even under adverse conditions. The month saw 248 delayed departures and 168 rescheduled flights, largely attributed to the challenging weather conditions that affected flight schedules and necessitated operational adjustments,” Ibom Air said.
The airline had to cancel 56 flights, a decision made to ensure passenger safety and compliance with operational standards.
Effectively, its schedule reliability stood at 66 percent, while its on-time performance was 60%. Although these figures reflect the impact of the severe weather, they also highlight the firm’s ongoing commitment to improving service reliability.
Severe weather conditions throughout the month were a major factor in the delays and cancellations the airline experienced. These disruptions significantly impacted its schedule reliability and on-time performance, with the former standing at 66 percent and the latter at 60 percent.
The airline says it understands that delays, rescheduling, and cancellations can be frustrating for passengers, thereby apologizing for any inconvenience caused. Its team is dedicated to analyzing these metrics and implementing strategies to enhance its performance, while focusing on minimizing disruptions and ensuring a smoother, more reliable travel experience.
