The Nigeria Rugby League has announced Bolu Fagborun as the head coach for the women’s national team as they gear up for the World Cup qualifiers against Kenya.
Bolu Fagborun brings extensive experience and a proven record of success to his new position.
Previously, he was the head coach of the national men’s team during the MEA Championship 2022 in Ghana. Under his leadership, the men’s team won the prestigious MEA Championship title in 2024.
The upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Kenya offer a significant chance for the women’s team to display their talent and determination on the international stage. With Bolu at the helm, the Nigeria Rugby League is optimistic about the team’s prospects for success. If Bolu leads Nigeria to victory, the women’s team will earn a spot in the World Series next year.

Nigeria and Kenya will clash in match one on September 19 in Nairobi, Kenya, with the return match set for September 22 in Nairobi.
