Osarodion Ogie is no doubt a remarkable striker in the field of play in Edo politics.

Foraying into the murky waters of politics, one would think that Ogie would have been stained with the various oily resolutions that daily play out in our political chessboard. The reverse, however, has been the case.

In Edo State, the history of developmental politics will not be better written without capturing succinctly the sterling contributions of our outgone SSG. In every administration that Osarodion Ogie features, he makes things easy and eloquent for the “Oga at the top”, building blocks of institutionalized unity, solidifying the very foundations that hold together our corporate existence.

Ogie started his life early enough in Eghosa Grammar School, Benin City, went further to read law at the University of Ife as well as the Nigerian Law School, where he bagged LL.B and BL, respectively.

A trusted and reliable ally, Osarodion Ogie possesses a philosophy of protecting the sanctity of the institution he belongs, chesting out decisively to back it up.

In 2020, during the Obaseki/Oshiomhole feud, Edo people witnessed the military role Ogie played to protect the sanctity of the Obaseki-led administration against external invasion. While several other political officials jumped ship to massage Oshiomhole’s back, Ogie stood firm and unshaken, walking the path of uncertainty with Obaseki and the rest of Edo people. In the end, however, Edo people, Obaseki, and Ogie triumphed.
