The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, has directed the Head of Personnel (HPM) to conduct an immediate audit of staff and location of all personnel.

He gave the directive during an interactive session with the council community at Ogwashi-Uku where he called on staff and critical stakeholders of the council to justify the pay they receive and add value to their job responsibilities.

“As a matter of fact, I have directed the HPM to conduct a staff audit to uncover those who receive salaries but reside outside the shores of the country without justifiable legitimate grounds and authorisation,” he said.

“As a government, we will not abandon your welfare and fate, particularly in this critical time of ailing national economy. You will celebrate this Christmas as we have always done. You must complement my efforts to build a symbiotic collaboration that can drive meaningful transformation and prosperity.”

“As we are looking for sustainable solutions to step up the infrastructural facilities in the council area, we must also assert commitment and seriousness on stomach infrastructure. But what is unacceptable is dereliction of duty which i am against as a veteran staff of local government administration.

He urged the workers to strive diligently to put in their best in order to foster synergy that will drive his goals in line with the MORE Agenda of the state governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
