The Edo State Emergency Management Agency (EdoSEMA) has again extended its condolences to the family of late firefighter, God’stime Omotor, who tragically lost his life while responding to a fire outbreak in Benin City.

During a condolence visit to the bereaved family, the Executive Secretary of EdoSEMA, Hon. Jerry Idahosa, led a delegation comprising the Agency’s Director of Operations, Engr. Michael Aigbokhan, and other senior officials.

The team presented vital relief items aimed at easing the immediate burdens faced by the grieving household.

Among the supplies delivered were bags of rice and beans, cooking oil, yams, school materials, and other essential household items.

The Agency stated that the support was specifically meant to assist the widow of the late firefighter, Mrs. Blessing Omotor, and her six children.

Hon. Idahosa praised the dedication and heroism displayed by the late Omotor, describing him as a committed and hardworking professional who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.

“We will stand with you. Edo State will not forget your husband’s sacrifice,” he assured Mrs. Omotor.

He emphasised that the gesture was a reflection of EdoSEMA’s broader mission to recognise and support the families of emergency service personnel who die while protecting the public.

According to him, the Agency remains firmly committed to the welfare of such families and to upholding the legacy of fallen heroes in the State.

In response, members of the Omotor family expressed appreciation to the Edo State Government and EdoSEMA for the timely support, which they said would provide much-needed relief during this painful period.
