Barely 6 months after surviving a violent assault on his life, a farmer dentified as Igabali Henry Terfa has reportedly lost 11 members of his family in the recent attack on Yalewata community in Benue State.

Confirmed sources in the community says over 250 persons were reportedly
murdered in Yalewata community in Guma local government area of Benue State following a midnight attack in the community by suspected Herdsmen.

In the recent attack on the community, houses were reportedly set ablaze by the suspected herdsmen as families were burnt alive in their sleep.

Several corpses of women and children littered the community in the recent attack as the number of casualties is expected to increase in the coming days.

Many families were set ablaze in while asleep, other families had their homes broken into and families slaughtered in their sleep.

A farmer, who survived herdsmen attack while working on his farmland 6 months ago, reportedly lost 11 members of his family in the recent bloodbath in Yalewata community.

On January 13th Igabali Henry Terfa was attacked on his farm by herdsmen and managed to escape with injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he was reportedly treated for injuries sustained over a period of 3 months.

His wife and children are said to be missing after the midnight attack on the community as several other families continue to count their losses following the bloodbath in the community.

Meanwhile, local authorities in the Yalewata community in Guma local government area of Benue State have commenced with the profiling of the victims of the attack and their affected families with a view to identifying them ahead of their burial.
