BENIN CITY – Governor Monday Okpebholo has commended the management and staff of the Edo State Development and Building Control Agency for their contributions to the state’s urban development initiatives, as the state joined the rest of the world to mark the 2025 World Habitat Day.

The governor, represented by his deputy, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, received the agency’s delegation led by its Managing Director, Mr. Imoisili Darlington Igabali, at the Government House, Benin City, on Monday.

Governor Okpebholo lauded the agency’s achievements and described its efforts as vital to Edo’s growth and transformation agenda.

“We want to thank you for being part of the growth and development of our dear state. What is most important to us is that we have the political will to ensure this agency fulfills its mandate,” Idahosa said on behalf of the governor.

He further commended the agency’s leadership, noting that the administration recognizes and appreciates the team’s selfless contributions.

“On behalf of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, I want to thank you for this wonderful day. We congratulate you and the entire state as we celebrate World

“Habitat Day. We also thank God for giving us a visionary managing director who has continued to drive positive change in the sector,” he added.

Earlier, Mr. Igabali expressed appreciation to the governor for the administration’s support and for receiving the agency’s team, assuring that the agency would continue to uphold high standards in urban planning and building control across the state.
