Team Nigeria has concluded its campaign at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest with a total prize money haul of $130,000 across five events.
Tobi Amusan emerged as the best-performing Nigerian athlete at the championship, recording the country’s highest placing among the Nigerian contingent.
The world-class event brought together some of the leading athletes from across the globe, with Nigerian representatives competing for honours in their respective events.
Despite the varying results, Team Nigeria’s performances in Budapest earned the country a combined $130,000 in prize money.
Amusan’s strong showing saw her finish as Nigeria’s highest-placed athlete at the championship, underlining her continued status as one of the country’s leading track and field stars.
Other Nigerian athletes also contributed to the country’s overall earnings across the five events.
