BENIN CITY — One Mr Frank Evbomwam who was the campaign manager to Mr Clement Osazee Osayomore former Deputy governor and House of Assembly candidate has escaped assassination on his way back from church.
Pastor Frank who fully participated in the previous elections as the campaign manager is accused to have all the information regarding Clement political aspirations. He participated fully during Clement’s campaign for the councillor elections held in 2013. He also continued as a campaign manager during Clement elections in 2015 for The house of Assembly position. Also, in 2016 during the elections where Clement was a deputy governor aspirant, he led a massive rally advocating and assuring people to vote for clement.he was always seen with Clement in various campaign around the state.
Recently, a tragic incident happened, The incident happened just before the Edo State elections in September 2024.It was gathered that he was in position of secret information which was handed over to him by Clement Osayomore because he was Clement’s campaign manager during previous elections.
He has been facing threats and calls to disclose the whereabouts of Clement and family.They feared that the information Clement had given to him would jeopardize the election and lead to them losing.Hence they have constantly been attacks on his life. The gu men who attacked him started shooting at him and pursued him. He luckily escaped for his dear life.
Clement who was accused of having political information has not been seen since 2020.
