BENIN CITY — Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku has commiserated with the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the management of THISDAY Newspapers, and the Emenyonu family over the passing of veteran journalist, Mr. Austin Adibe Emenyonu, who died on Friday night.
In a condolence message to the Edo NUJ, Hon. Agbebaku expressed deep sadness at the sudden demise of Mr. Emenyonu, describing him as a diligent and dedicated journalist who served the profession with uncommon commitment and integrity.
The Speaker extended his condolences to the NUJ Chairman, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, the THISDAY Newspapers family, and the bereaved relatives, urging them to take solace in the impactful life of service and selflessness that the late journalist lived.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of Mr. Emenyonu’s soul and for divine comfort for his family and colleagues during this difficult time.
