BENIN CITY: Senator Neda Imasuen has unveiled the 2026 edition of his annual free medical outreach across the seven local government areas of Edo South Senatorial District, with thousands of residents expected to benefit.
The three-day programme, scheduled for February 21 to 23, 2026, will provide comprehensive healthcare services, including breast, cervical and prostate cancer screenings, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, malaria testing and eye examinations. Medical personnel will be deployed to offer free diagnosis and treatment.
The outreach will hold simultaneously at Iguobazuwa Health Centre (Ovia South West), Okada Health Centre (Ovia North East), Uselu Community Town Hall (Egor), Evbomodu Health Centre (Ikpoba Okha), Urokpota Hall (Oredo), Eyaen Health Centre (Uhunmwonde) and Abudu Health Centre (Orhionmwon).
Imasuen urged constituents to shun self-medication and take advantage of early detection opportunities, stressing that good health remains vital to productivity and overall wellbeing. Beneficiaries of previous editions have cited timely diagnosis and successful treatment of ailments, including conjunctivitis and prostate cancer, as key gains of the initiative.
