BENIN CITY: Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has attributed the successes of his administration over the past year to humility, faith, and total dependence on God.
Speaking at an interdenominational church service at Government House Chapel, the governor said that strategy and policy alone are insufficient without divine guidance.
Represented by Edesili Anani Okpebholo, the Coordinator of the First Lady’s office, he highlighted achievements under the SHINE Agenda across security, health, infrastructure, agriculture, education, and rural development.
“Governance must be rooted in faith and humility; human efforts alone cannot yield lasting impact,” he said, urging support for initiatives that improve lives across Edo.
The state’s Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Apostle Sule Faraday Azekhumen, lauded the administration for tackling cultism and insecurity, while fostering rural development and church partnerships.
Guest preacher, Apostle Favour Mopa Awom encouraged the congregation to seek the power of God to fulfil life assignments in a challenging world, citing Psalm 62:11.
