IGUOSHODI-NIKPEMABA (OVIA NORTH EAST) – The people of Iguoshodi-NiKpemaba have thrown their full support behind the leadership of the community, affirming the authority of Pa Johnson Ahanor as Odionwere, Prince Peter Eweka as Chairman of the Elders Council, and Kenneth Omorogbe Okaighele.

The endorsement came during an enlarged meeting of elders, youth, and women at the community’s Oguedion, convened to address misinformation circulating online.

Speaking to journalists, Pa Matthew Igbinosun said the meeting aimed to counter a misleading social media video that sought to tarnish the community’s reputation and create divisions.

“The video circulating is false and should be disregarded,” Pa Igbinosun said.

“Pa Johnson Ahanor remains our Odionwere. There was never any removal, and anyone suggesting otherwise is misinformed.”
Other community leaders echoed this sentiment.

Pa Henry Onaghino stressed that harmony prevails in the community, and Kenneth Omorogbe remains the duly appointed Okaighele.

Ohen Lewis Igbinosun added, “Anybody claiming ambition to take over as Okaighele is lying. Kenneth Omorogbe will remain our Okaighele until the Odionwere decides otherwise.”

Women of the community also affirmed their support.

Mrs. Joy Ehigiator stated, “We are very satisfied with the leadership of Pa Johnson Ahanor and Kenneth Omorogbe. There is no dispute or quarrel in this community.”

Prince Peter Eweka, Chairman of the Elders Council, highlighted the development efforts led by Okaighele, particularly road construction, and called on residents to join hands in community development.

In his remarks, Prince Kenneth Omorogbe urged well-meaning individuals and developers to invest in the community, assuring that safety and peaceful coexistence are guaranteed.

“With God and the community’s support, good things will continue to come to Iguoshodi-NiKpemaba. There is no land dispute here; everyone is welcome to contribute to development,” he said.

The meeting ended with a unified pledge from residents to maintain peace, support the leadership, and work collectively toward the growth of Iguoshodi-NiKpemaba.
