A leading aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Edo State House of Assembly, Iziegbeuwa Irene Ojo, has intensified her consultations with party stakeholders, meeting with leaders and members of Ward 1 in Oredo East Constituency, to seek their support and share her vision for community-focused representation.

Addressing party executives and grassroots members during the meeting at the APC Ward 1 Secretariat, at Garrick Layout in Benin City, the aspirant described Ward 1 as a critical pillar in the political structure of the constituency, emphasizing the need for unity, collaboration, and sustained grassroots engagement in building a stronger and more inclusive political process.

She said, “I have come to you not just to seek your support, but to listen, learn, and work together with you in strengthening our party and advancing the progress of our community.”

She highlighted her longstanding commitment to community service, noting that her outreach initiatives, including support for vulnerable families during festive periods, reflect her passion for improving the lives of the people at the grassroots.

Izigbeuwa added, “Service to our people must remain at the heart of leadership. The experiences I have gained from working within our communities have shaped my understanding of the challenges our people face and the kind of representation they deserve.”

The aspirant also reaffirmed her respect for party leadership and structure, stressing that her engagement across wards is aimed at fostering unity and building consensus ahead of the party’s nomination process.

“Our strength as a party lies in our ability to work together. I am committed to consulting widely and ensuring that every voice is heard as we move forward,” she noted.

At the meeting led by the Ward 1 APC Chairman, Ehigiegba Felix, the party leaders and members of Ward 1 commended the aspirant for her humility, vision and commitment to grassroots engagement.

They noted that her focus on service and community development resonates with the expectations of party members and constituents.

The meeting featured interactive sessions where stakeholders shared their perspectives on the needs of the ward and the broader constituency, with the aspirant assuring them of continued engagement and collaboration.

Her visit to Ward 1 forms part of an ongoing consultation tour across the six wards in Oredo East Constituency, aimed at strengthening relationships with party stakeholders and promoting a shared vision of building on the community’s legacy with fresh ideas for sustainable development.
