The Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo has been selected as the venue for both legs of Nigeria’s second-round Olympic qualifying fixture against Comoros.
The Super Falcons will host Comoros on October 9, with the return leg scheduled for October 13 at the same venue as Nigeria begins its quest for qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the development and expressed confidence that the 10-time African champions can secure a second consecutive Olympic ticket after featuring at the 2024 Paris Games.
Nigeria, one of the three highest-ranked teams in the qualifying competition, received a bye into the second round and will now face Comoros in a two-legged tie.
Comoros booked their place in the second round after recording a comprehensive 30-0 aggregate victory over Sudan in the opening round.
The Super Falcons will be hoping to make full use of home advantage in Ikenne and progress to the next stage of the qualification race.
