The Teranga Lions currently have no suitable stadium available to stage the encounter in the Senegalese capital.
The Abdoulaye Wade Stadium is unavailable due to the ongoing preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, while the pitch at the Léopold Sédar Senghor Stadium is reportedly not in suitable condition to host the continental qualifier.
As a result, the match has been moved to Mozambique, with Senegal set to face the Mambas in Maputo on September 25.
The unusual arrangement means Senegal will effectively surrender home advantage for the AFCON 2027 qualifying encounter.
