The Flamingos of Nigeria are top of the standings in the WAFU B U17 Girls Cup in Cote d’Ivoire.
This followed their 2-0 win over hard-fighting Burkina Faso Monday courtesy of two late strikes.
They have a perfect record of three wins in as many matches to have nine points and an impressive goals’ difference of +9.
Hosts Cote d’Ivoire are second on the table with six points, while Ghana also have the same points but inferior goals’ difference.
Niger are bottom of the standings having yet to record a point.
