Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will finally meet in a long-awaited all-British heavyweight showdown on December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
The blockbuster bout was officially confirmed yesterday, ending years of negotiations and speculation surrounding a potential meeting between the two former world heavyweight champions.
Promoter Turki Alalshikh confirmed that Fury and Joshua will square off on Friday, December 11, with the fight to be streamed live globally on Netflix.
The announcement brings an end to uncertainty over the venue after the fight had previously been linked with potential locations in the United States and London.
Cardiff’s Principality Stadium was eventually selected to host the contest, providing a return to the United Kingdom for one of the most anticipated heavyweight fights involving British boxers in recent years.
Fury, who has a professional record of 36 wins, two defeats and one draw, with 25 knockouts, returns to the biggest stage after victories over Arslanbek Makhmudov and Mariusz Wach in 2026.
Joshua, meanwhile, holds a 30-4 record with 27 knockouts and secured victories over Jake Paul in December 2025 and Kristian Prenga earlier this year.
The December meeting will be the first professional fight between Fury and Joshua, despite the pair spending years being linked with a potential blockbuster clash.
Both fighters have previously held world heavyweight titles, but neither currently enters the contest as a world champion.
The fight will be presented by Netflix and The Ring, with the remainder of the undercard expected to be announced at a later date. Netflix confirmed that the event will be available live to its members globally at no additional charge.
A joint press conference involving Fury and Joshua is scheduled for September 30 in London, ahead of their December showdown.
After years of failed negotiations, the two British
