Benin City – The Benin Crown Prince and Edaiken N’Uselu, HRH (Amb) Eheneden Erediawa, would today leave Usama Palace for Useh village, where he is expected to choose a name to be used as the 39th Oba of Benin Kingdom.
The choosing of the suitable name is in line with the norms of the Benin Tradition and custom as it relates to Obaship in the kingdom.
The NIGERIAN OBSERVER reliably gathered that the Edaiken N’Uselu would proceed on foot procession from Usama Palace enroute siluko road where he is expected to perform some traditional rites which are prelude to choosing a name to answer as the Oba of Benin.

According to the programme of event, he is expected to leave Useh village back to Usama Palace after the naming ceremony, where he would engage on procession through “Isekhere/Ibiwe” to Urhokpota hall, to be officially crowned on Thursday 20th October 2016 by the Executive Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole.
The Coronation ceremony continues as the turbaning ceremony by the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Sa’ad Abubakar to commemorate the Oba of Benin will be Friday 21st of October 2016.
