Different reactions have trailed the death of Mrs Osayande Omoruvi (aged 45) and her son, Uyi Omoruvi (aged 18) by one Mrs Isoken Omoruvi through food poisoning. It would be recalled that the incident happened at Iguovbiobe village in Uhunmwonde Local Government Area of Edo State when the said mother and son ate poisonous food allegedly perpetrated by their step-mother, Mrs Isoken Omoruvi on December 3, 2013.


The Nigerian Observer reliably gathered that there had been lingering crisis which ensued between the said Mrs Isoken Omoruvi and Mrs Osayande Omoruvi which ultimately led to the secured thought that characterized in the killing of Uyi Omoruvi and his mother, Mrs Osayande Omoruvi through food poisoning.


An impeccable source who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that after the death of mother and child, the crisis escalated as the only surviving child, Omoruvi Osas who escaped death by whisker, vowed to get to the root by getting justice, as his step mother had been fingered in the complicity.


The source further said that based on the exigency of Omoruvi Osas, the said Mrs Isoken Omoruvi, who was accused mapped out plans to halt the plans of prosecuting her and as such, boasted to also kill him (Omoruvi Osas) in order to pave the way for her to be freed in the case.


The source asserted that she abruptly hired some hoodlums suspected to be assassins to continually trail him to kill or alternatively through food poisoning, saying that all entreaties to get the rational behind the dastardly act was frustrated as the said Omoruvi Osas narrowly escaped when assassins invaded their house.


The source argued that the said Mrs Omoruvi Isoken was constantly accused of perpetrating evil act against mother and children but instead of showing remorse, she boasted to use police to terrorize, humiliate and intimidate the said Omoruvi Osas for standing on the path of justice over the death of his mother and brother and he is being victimized unjustly. As we speak now, nobody knows the whereabout of Omoruvi Osas.
