THE Management of a private owned Osarumwense Clinic, in Benin City, Edo state, have declared one Efe Best wanted age 16 years over his inability to pay his medical expenses which run into N3.5 million for a period of two years he stayed in the hospital as ailing patient.
It would be recalled that the said Efe Best was rushed to emergency ward over an ailment and was carefully attended to the extent that he was now recuperating.
Speaking to journalists the medical director of the hospital Dr. John Osarumwense said that the action he took along with his board members was as a result of the inability of the patient to pay the medical expenses, saying his family fully abandoned him (Patient) in the hospital for two years, even without recourse to the financial implication and coupled with the frantic efforts put to revive the patient.
He said that when it became necessary that the hospital have to explore all avenues to get back his professional money, the patient in a bid to set himself free, surreptitiously escaped from his hospital bed without considering the implications that may arise.
Dr. Osarumwense further said that all efforts to get the patient did not yield the expected results, hence there was need to declare him wanted to enable him pay all the medical expenses.
He said that he had notified the police, who had swung into actions by spreading his pictures to enable members of the public give useful information of his whereabouts.
