Abudu – Oza community in Orhiomwon Local Government Area of Edo state has once again erupted in an orgy of violence following the murder of a 22 year old boy Imade Amadin by unknown gun men.
Imade Amadin who was said to have been missing for about five days in the community was found lifeless in a remote path of a Palm Plantation around the community, provoking the age long violent faceoff between two prominent families in the area, the Christopher Osariemen and Osazee Amadin which started in July,2006.
The latest violent clash which lasted for two days has forced the villagers off their homes, sources say is coming nearly eight years after a similar crisis was stoked by the murder of the patriarch of Osariemens on the 27th July, 2006 by men suspected to be hirelings of chief Osazee Amadin.
The ensuing battle then as reported, cost the sleeping community several lives with several others declared missing, including the son of the diseased Christopher Osariemen Mr Osaro Osariemen who eye witness said was badly injured in the clashes.
Other missing persons include Jude Ogbebor,Darlington Edorodion and Eseoghene Johnbull among others.
The latest crisis in the community which bears the trappings of the previous one eight years ago has been put under control by the police but not after some buildings on both sides had been touched by some rampaging youths in the community.
