BENIN CITY- A young Benin man, Nosakhare Erhiagbonye, about 20 is on the run for dear life after being forcefully lured and initiated into an armed robbery gang/operation

The gang was reported to have appeared in an estate in the of Abuja on October 10, 2015 where six people, five policemen and one robber were killed, while one of the robbers was also apprehended by the police in the operation, as others escaped.

According to a relation to Nosakhare Erhiagbonye, who wouldn’t want his name mentioned for fear of victimization that narrated the whole story to our correspondent, said his brother, was lured in and forced to partake in the robbery operation between life and death.

The source said Nosakhare’s predicament in life actually started when he was about twelve years old in primary five, when he got to know for the first time in life that motherless as his mother died giving birth to him. The father who was then businessman died in a fatal motor accident in one of his business trips.

The young Nosakhare was now left at the mercy of her step mother, who he earlier wonder if she was her biological mother because of the way and manner the women maltreated him from childhood. But the maltreatment became so unbearable to the extent that the little innocent boy until one fateful day he was injured on the head with a firewood, his stepmother threw at him after much beating for loosing the money he made from hawking the goods given to him by his wicked step mother.

Thereafter, Nosakhare’s maltreatment at home became so bad that he dropped out of school and was also thrown out of the house to fend for himself alone at a very tender age. During the abandonment, he was cornered one night, unknowingly that the place was a robbers den by some armed robbers in an
uncompleted building he was sleeping at night and was captured and forcefully lured, and initiated him to join them against his wish with the nickname of “small” as fundly called by the gang members, who mostly used him as spy, before any operation.

Subsequently, from the proceeds he was getting, through not still happy with the situation, he tried to pull out of the robbery gang as he came across a young lady of choice for marriage in a shopping mall. The parents refused the engagement for lack of good parental background. But still went ahead to get her pregnant and thrown our of her father’s house for insisting to go ahead with the relationship with Nosakhare that resulted to a baby boy afterall.

But when his wife later discovered what her husband was into on the discovery of guns and bullets in their room, she pleaded with him to quit the robbery gang for the sake of their son. He obliged the wife’s advice and went into learning aluminum fabrication job. When the gang members discovered that he was no more functioning and now avoiding them they threatened to kill him.

Finally on that fateful day of October 10, 2015, the gang drove to the house at night and physically bundled Nosakhare Erhiagonye by force to follow them to the robbery operation in an estate in Abuja, where five policemen where killed, one of the robbers also killed while one of the robbers was physically captured and now in the police custody, while others including Nosakhare managed to escape.

The source added, since then, they have never set their eyes on their brother Nosakhare, whether he has been captured and killed by the gang members who have also aledged that it was Nosakhare that exposed them, nobody can tell.

Moreso, the government not taking the killing of the policemen lightly, have declared the escape robbers dead or alive anywhere found in the country and placed a handsome reward of N5m on any successful informant that can lead to their arrest.

However, some of the relations have cried out, appealing to the government and other concerned authorities to please have pity on their own, Nosakhare Erhiagbonye, who they said was not really an armed robber but a victim of circumstance that was lured and forced into joining them in the operation, against his wish.
