UROMI-A Septuagenarian, Ogbeide Adams,has called for help to save the life of his late friend’s son, Omokhodion Evans who was caught red handed with his gay friend, John Sunday a Catholic Christian-faith on a Christmas Eve, 2013.
Adams said the call for help became necessary because, Omokhodion Evans lost both his parents when he was a baby.
Investigation carried out by our reporter states that an eye witness who was at the scene of the incident disclosed that, Omokhodion Evans was seen having a kiss with his male counterpart in the Hotel room,(name withheld) along Ujegba Road.
The eye witness further stated that, Omokhodion Evans and his partner was beaten and dragged to the Enogie palace where the Enogie and Elders asked them why involved in a gay practice, and if they didn’t know that the Act is a taboo and that it’s against the Culture and Traditions of the Esan Land.
The Enogie and Elders of the Village noted that anybody found wanting of such Act would be sacrificed and his blood used to cleanse the land of the abominable Act.
The Septogenerian who pleaded anonymity said, Omokhodion Evans aware of the possible punishment that awaits him,manage to escaped throw the crowd and ran to an unknown destination for safety.
Some angry youths and Clan in the Village sent by Elders went wild in search of Omokhodion Evans, however set his family property ablaze.
Adams, further stated that both the Elders, Youths and Clan in the Village promised to leave no stone unturned, that they are putting necessary measures and machineries in place for the search of Omokhodion Evans with a view to caught and dragged him to the Village Square, where he will be made to pay severely for his actions against the land.
The source added that the matter however be reported to the Divisional police department and the police are also in search of him, because the Act is against the Nigeria Law, the offence is 14 years imprisonment or a death sentence.
It would be noted that the Constitutional Marriage Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria frowned at Gay practice and other related Acts in the land.
The only solution to the matter on ground is for Omokhodion Evans to leave this country and go where the act is allowed.
