The Chief Priest of Oguneren Tradomedical Home and its members have congratulated His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, CFR, Oba of Benin, on his eight years on the throne.

Congratulating the Oba, the Chief Priest, Dr Daniel Edebor, said that eight years on the throne has been very eventful in the kingdom where a lot of things have happened, such as peace, joy, happiness and unity of purpose.

He maintained that the ‘Ugie’moro’ is an annual festival celebrated by the Oba, regarded as new yam festival, which shows henceforth the people can eat the new yam in their individual homes. Also, the Ugie’moro commences another New Year calendar while charging the Benis to be loyal to the palace at all things as our own Oba is very supreme, he said.

The soft-spoken gentleman enjoined all the Enogie, odionweres, youths as well as members of Ogidigan Noyanson Society to support the unity purposes of the Oba for his fatherly role.

The tradomedical healer disclosed that the eight years of the Oba have been good for the people of Edo State for the relative peace, better development for the people of Edo State and Nigeria at large.

Dr Edebor revealed that the nation is passing through a very tough time since independence, as the country is like we are ruled by the colonial masters, a situation where most of the resources are taken abroad to hide for their children yet unborn.

He maintained that Edo people should support the governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo for good governance and better development as well as bring peace and unity of purpose for us all.
