BENIN CITY-A 13-year-old primary six girl has allegedly been impregnated by her biological father, One Mr. Friday Moses at Egba in Ikpoba Okha local government area of Edo state.

The minor (name withheld) informed police that her father started abusing her sexually when she was six.

The randy father was among 76 suspected criminals paraded by Edo State Police Commissioner, CP Johnson Kokumo at the state police command headquarters in Benin City, yesterday.

They were alleged to have been arrested for various criminal offences ranging from kidnapping, cultism/rape, armed robbery, burglary to murder at different locations across the state.

Assorted arms, ammunition, stolen personal effects and materials suspected to be cult paraphernalia were paraded as exhibits recovered from the suspects.

It was learnt that the pedophile father Mr Friday Moses, 32 was living at ologbo town where he allegedly started molesting his daughter after the death of his wife, mother of the victim with three siblings.

He was said to have relocated his family to Egba Community when his Ologbo neighbours discovered the abominable act.

He is said to hail from Calabar in Cross River State.

The expectant teenager is now in the custody of Edo State Government while her randy dad awaits police arraignment in court.

Mr Friday Moses denied committing the act stating that
some members of Egba community raised the allegation against him.

He added that an elderly woman in his neighbourhood informed him of his daughter’s pregnancy even as he wondered who reported the matter to police.

Among other suspects paraded for armed robbery were Ekpan Emmanuel, 21, Chuks Lateef, 22, Kelvin Airuoyuwa,19 and Emmanuel Ogheneovo, 21.

Those apprehended for cultism according to the CP Johnson Kokumo included; John Emmanuel, Blessing Okhai, Godwin Edet, Blessing Osagie, Lucky Ese, Sunny Victor and Osayuki Iyase.

Others were; Alex Isaac, Michael Osagiede, Shamsu Abubakar, Isekhure Nosadeba, Ipea Godfrey, Peter Anyasi, Lucky Ossai and Nwaedozie Iweanya.

Some of the suspects confessed to the crimes while others denied.

The commissioner of police while assuring members of the public of adequate security of lives and property in the state said the suspects would soon appear in court.
